Annual NCHS Senior Athletic Night

Our guest speaker this year is LTC Timothy Plackett.

Timothy is a trauma surgeon assigned to the University of Chicago as part of the Army Medical Department Military-Civilian Trauma Team Training Program and the Deputy Consultant to The Surgeon General for Trauma. He graduated in 1996 and was a varsity letterman in swimming and water polo. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois, Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University, and Master of Public Health from Benedictine University.  He completed a general surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center & a trauma and surgical critical care fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center. During his 19 year career in the military, he has five combat deployments, including as the Commander of the 759th Forward Surgical Team (Airborne) and as the Trauma Medical Director for Operation Inherent Resolve. He has earned numerous medals and awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Medical Badge, and Basic Parachutist Badge.
